Vegas Trip

Eric and I went with our friends, Shane and Mandy, and Steve and Angie, to Las Vegas for four days/three nights. We had a blast!
Here are the boys playing the Star Wars slot machine.

This trip was in honor of our 10th anniversary (which is actually in August) so we took a night to go out to a nice steakhouse called Gallagher's. It was in New York, New York.

I had to take a picture with Holly Madison's poster. She was in a show that was playing at our hotel. We didn't see it, but I am ashamed to say I have watched her in 'The Girls Next Door'.

My 'Baby' Sister Got Married!

My sister, Sarah, got married to Jonny Carroll on June 20th. It is impossible for me not to think of her as my 'baby' sister as she is 8 years younger than me, but she really is a beautiful young woman. I am so proud of her! I was a bridesmaid, Jessalyn was the 'wedding' girl (as she insisted us calling her that), and Eric played the guitar and I sang 'Until You'.

Kim and I gave Sarah a necklace from James Avery that is called the 'clover of hearts'. It has 3 hearts that are connected, just like the 3 of us.

It was a beautiful wedding, great reception, and wonderful start to a new marriage.

Concerts in the Garden

We took Jessalyn to the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens last night for the Concerts in the Garden. It was hot!! We had a good time though. We wanted to do something special with Jessalyn by herself, which we have really tried to make an effort at doing since Connor has come along. We ate a picnic dinner, listened to good music from movie soundtracks, and watched a laser show that ended with fireworks.

Always dancing!

"I'm a Big Kid Now"

Jessalyn had her last day of preschool a couple of weeks ago. She attended Fielder Road two days a week and absolutely loved it. I can't believe she will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Where has the time gone? Here she is with her sweet friends Lydia and Rylea. I know she will miss them.

They had water day, and Jessalyn loves to swing, so she was lovin' it!

Jessalyn and her teachers, Mrs. Cortez and Mrs. Peek...they were absolutely wonderful.

May Family Fun

Jessalyn loves to dance! We started her at Stagedoor Dance Centre this year, and they had their big Spring Recital at Texas Hall at UTA. She was in a ballet number called 'Tiger in a Tutu' and a tap number called 'Kickin' it Country'.

Jessalyn played soccer again this spring, and I think she enjoyed it more this season than last. She even asked if she could be goalie.

May has been a crazy month, but such fun. With my sister getting married in 3 1/2 weeks and graduating from college, we have had showers and celebrations. We also celebrated Mother's Day in conjunction with Connor's baby dedication.

Easter (a month late)

Easter was extra special this year as it was Connor's first Easter. Even though the weather wasn't that great, we still had a great time. We went to church, then to Nana and Papa's for lunch and inside hunt, and then off to Gran and Grandpa's for dinner and another inside hunt. Maybe next year the sun will shine!

Disneyworld Trip

We took Jessalyn to Disneyworld in late February for her 5th birthday (which was actually January 31st). We had so much fun and can't wait to go back!! She got to meet her dream princess, Cinderella, as well as most of the other princesses and characters. We did a princess breakfast and a dinner at Chef Mickey's. We missed Connor, brought him back a mickey hat, and can't wait to take him in a few years.
